The University of Venda (UNIVEN) has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence by receiving the prestigious Golden Arrow Award from PMR. Africa during the Limpopo Provincial Survey Business Excellence Awards held on 20 August 2025 in Polokwane. When receiving the award on behalf of the University of Venda, in his remarks, Dr Takalani Dzaga emphasised the significance of the award as a reflection of the University’s collective efforts. “This award is a testament to the dedication and excellence of our staff, students, and stakeholders. It affirms our position as a leading institution in Limpopo and inspires us to continue striving for impact and innovation.”
This accolade places UNIVEN at the forefront of higher education institutions in the province, recognising the University’s outstanding contributions to economic development, innovation, and governance. The strategic importance of the award is its alignment with the University’s strategic objective: To enhance the corporate identity of UNIVEN. The award was conferred following PMR. Africa’s annual provincial survey, which evaluates companies, institutions, and government entities based on their impact on regional growth, management expertise, corporate governance, and innovation. UNIVEN emerged as a top performer in the category of institutions of higher learning, reflecting its strategic focus on relevance, impact, and stakeholder engagement.
